Discover the town of Sant Francesc

Can Corda is located 6.5 kilometers from Sant Francesc, a town that, despite being a small town with less than 3,000 inhabitants, is the capital of the island. Sant Francesc still maintains the Mediterranean charm of yesteryear intact in its squares, streets and shops, and therefore it is ideal for strolling and enjoying the atmosphere.

You can access this small town by following the main road that runs through the island, just after the port of La Savina. There you cannot miss the church of Sant Francesc, which, due to its thick walls and sober façade, is more reminiscent of a fortress than a church. The church is located in the square of the same name, in the center of the town, surrounded by white houses, numerous shops and restaurants.

Cala Saona, a magnificent environment to enjoy

The landscape that surrounds the whole of Can Corda is exceptional. The closest beach to our accommodations is Cala Saona, just 4.1 kilometers away; a true gem hidden behind the cliffs of Es Cap de Barbaria, on the southwestern coast of the island.

It is the only sandy beach in the area, surrounded by pine trees and large walls, which you can access on foot, by bicycle or by car. This small beach, due to its turquoise waters and its spectacular sunsets, is one of the favorites of the entire island. In addition, here you can enjoy certain activities such as paddle surfing, kayaking or snorkeling; or access the underwater caves of Punta Rasa.

The Can Corda holiday houses are located in the southernmost area of Formentera, in Es Cap de Barbaria, near Puig Guillem.

The Cap de Barbaria lighthouse is one of the most visited and attractive places on the island of Formentera, whose image is an arid, almost desert landscape, with its narrow road, the lighthouse and the blue of the sea in the background.

There, you cannot miss the Cova Foradada and enjoy an unforgettable sunset with views of the islet of Es Vedrá.
